3Rd time at Hotel 54... It's all about the location. The Hotel itself is clean and like all other hotels, it depends on the guests... We've always been lucky - nice, quiet people. You can sometimes hear guests in the next room but again, it depends on how loud they are. This time we were in room 406 which is a connecting room - perfect if we had our children with us, but not so good otherwise - I could hear them brushing their teeth... Anyway, just avoid room 406 if you can help it. If not, again, we were lucky. They were relatively quiet.Honestly can't fault it.
Early check-in, awesome terrace with free wireless internet and overview over the city and beach. Amazing Suite Royal dedicated do corporate events! 10 second walk to vioko, chocolate factory and shop...mmmmmmm
Noise in the morning doing some repair work
Great location in the middle of barceloneta very close to the sea. Rooms with view have a great view. Modern design. Relatively spacious.
The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpfull. We also found it was very good value for money. We would stay there again .
The staff were very friendly and being close to the beach was nice. The price was right for a quick weekend away, esp if you plan on being out most of the time and don't mind not having quiet down time. The roof terrace was great for meeting up pre-dinner for a glass of cava.
The hotel was very loud with paper thin walls, so thin that I could hear my neighbor's safe beeping as they entered their key code. I could also hear them cough during the night. If you have a marina front room then you will be kept awake by the fun fair that sits opposite...think pounding nightclub music and screams of ados riding rollercoasters. It was worst on Saturday night going long past 2 am. On weekdays the main noise was between 3-8 and oddly enough there was not much nightlife on any night but Saturday. If you want to stay out late eating, wandering and having a few cocktails you should stay closer in to city center or plan on taking a cab back and forth. And as always with Barcleona, you must be very careful. Don't take anything out that you would be sad to lose. One of our group had her diamond necklace ripped from her neck outside of the hotel while getting into a cab. But that's anywhere in Barcelona not just this hotel.
Location.location.location.It is 3 minutes walk to agreat sandy beach and water. Also the great boardwalk. It is walking distance from dozens of restaurants around area.minutes from metro to visit sites. We enjoyed it very much and highly recommend. Note that it is not luxury but clean and efficient. My philosophy is that I am staying for a few days and not buying the place.
The hotel was in a safe area of barcelona on the port and just meters away from the beach, With a roof top garden area the staff were english speaking and very helpful, printing directions and supplying tickets for the city sightseeing bus ( a must for seeing all of barcelona`s delights) although tea making facilities were not in the room as standard , I asked and they provided me with a kettle and cups without any charge the buffet breakfast had english, continental and friut with cereal lots of choice on drinks I will visit this hotel again
Very, very noisy for a stay of 4 nigths with a room 1th floor by the traffic ligth. By a longterm booking and questioned for a backside room.was this a bad result.
The hotel is very well located, close to the port and old town but not in the middle of the busy streets. The metro is only 5 minutes away by foot so you are easily connected with the rest of the city.
Unfortunately the hotel stank of sewer drainage and the heating was not working properly. The breakfast is paid and it is not a good value for money.
Will say that their continental breakfast was great and a good price after staying at other hotels in the area.
We would not stay there again.... rooms amazingly tiny. Lighting was not conclusive to reading at all. They charged for everything when we stayed in another hotel in the city and internet, etc were free. They gave a referral for a dinner place that was the worst and most expensive of our whole stay in Barcelona.... did not ck out their resources very well.
Perfect localisation. Very close to the beach and town center. Modern hotel. Free wifi
Awful ratio quality/price. The room was extremely small, absoulutely not soundproof. We could hear our neighboors sneezing, using the toilets and even wispering. If you go for a romantic weekend in the beginning of a relationship, avoid it - the bathroom is as if it was into the room ... Also - no cable tv, only 3 poor Spanish channels.
Staff were helpful and very tolerant if my needs. English speaking staff a big help.
Wifi was a bit annoying however, free.
The hotel itself was really lovely but the room was a little on the small but nevertheless, it was clean and good value for your money. The hotel is located to the seaside and about 10 mins walk to the city center. You can also take the number 17 bus which was about 2 euro each way or taxi which was about 6 euro. The staff were also great and very welcoming. Well definitely recommend.
The location was great, with a view of the harbor and the beach 3 blocks away. The room was nice and big, and the rain-shower was wonderful. The staff was friendly.
The bed was uncomfortable. The balcony door and windows were very thin. There was a strong draft and the street was really noisy. Earplugs are a must.
The staff where lovely and very helpful. We arrived early and they sorted a room out for us. I also requested room with a view, which we got. Great location on the marina!! Would stay again.
nothing it was great.
